Personal Pizza in 10 minutes

I teased you with the idea of a 10-minute pizza in an earlier post, and here are the step-by-step instructions and photos.

NOTE: I am a fan of the Bread in Five Minutes a Day books. This series (Bread, Whole Wheat and Flatbread versions) promotes creating a large amount of knead-free dough, stored in the fridge and ready to make bread instantly. The base for this pizza is made in a skillet from the basic pizza recipe in the Flatbread book (for a sample, see the Master Recipe for bread, which would work just fine in this recipe).

When you are hungry on a busy Saturday, you are highly unlikely to put together a great lunch following a recipe. But when you run in, too hungry because you spent an hour doing one more thing before you stop for lunch, you can still have a great lunch when you have some real-food aids on hand.

Cream cheese, blue cheese, pears and hazelnuts deliver a light and unusual summer lunch.

If you love food, one of the best reasons to go to an upscale or chef-famous restaurant is to try combinations of food that are new to you. If I had unlimited resources, I would probably eat out a lot more often, checking out the best chefs in any area. However, the places I am talking about are the $20-$30 lunches and $50+ entree establishments. Far above my pay grade.
